M Film Lab announces the winner of the Fall 2023 M Film Lab for Indigenous writers is Ginew Benton, for this script titled “The Lady of the Lake”. This clever and timely script examines how the stories and mythology of an Indigenous culture can be stolen, rewritten, and exploited to suit colonial narratives. Ginew received a 2-year option agreement from M Film Lab to produce the script! Congratulations Ginew!
