The M Film Lab is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities in film and television. Through a growing range of initiatives, we work to ensure that the storytellers shaping the next generation of cinema reflect the full breadth of human experience — and that their stories reach the audiences who need them most.

Our work spans three core pillars:

• A screenwriting lab that educates, mentors, and empowers the next generation of minority storytellers, pairing emerging writers with accomplished industry professionals to develop their craft and bring their screenplays to life.
• Producing films and series with meaningful social impact — championing stories that challenge perspectives, foster empathy, and move audiences to see the world differently.
• Building a vibrant community of filmmakers and screenwriters who collaborate, support one another, and create work with the power to shift culture and change the world.
