The M Film Lab is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities in film and television. Through a growing range of initiatives, we work to ensure that the storytellers shaping the next generation of cinema reflect the full breadth of human experience — and that their stories reach the audiences who need them most.

Our work spans three core pillars:

• A free-to-join screenwriting lab that educates, mentors, and empowers the next generation of minority storytellers, pairing emerging writers with accomplished industry professionals to develop their craft and bring their screenplays to life.
• Producing films and series with meaningful social impact — championing stories that challenge perspectives, foster empathy, and move audiences to see the world differently.
• Building a vibrant community of filmmakers and screenwriters who collaborate, support one another, and create work with the power to shift culture and change the world.
